How I Became a Top MLM Sponsor
If you ever get to spend 30 minutes and be a “fly on the wall” to watch me work my network marketing business, you will quickly learn that I am NOT the typical outgoing sales person.
I don’t like to talk on the phone.
I am introverted, and tend to keep to myself.
I don’t use the latest tricks that “hypnotize” prospects to join my business.
But even with these shortcomings, I have been a top sponsor in my MLM business for many years.
What is the Trick?
Instead of asking about the trick, a better question would be to ask for my daily routine.
I became successful in network marketing because I was consistent about doing the 5 Core Production Activities everyday.
2 of the Core Production Activities are:
1) Talk to new prospects, and
2) Follow up with old prospects.
When I first started my network marketing business almost a decade ago, I often asked myself how many new people and how many new follow-ups I should do each day.
What is too little, and what is too overwhelming?
Analysis Led to Realization
In my first year I went through the peaks and valleys. The peaks were weeks when I sponsored over 7 people, and the valleys were the first 2 months in my MLM business when I sponsored zero and earned a big donut. In between, there were weeks when I would sponsor an average of 1 person per week.
I love stats and analytics, and one of the best things I did was to keep track of every phone call I made and every person I talked to. Regardless of who they were or whether they joined my business, I would jot it down on a spreadsheet.
After a few months, I analyzed the stats and realized what activity needed to be done so that I could sponsor and earn consistently. That is how I came up with the 5/5/3 Daily Regimen
5-5-3 Daily Prospecting Regimen
The 5-5-3 Prospecting Regimen is simple.
5 – Talk to 5 new people everyday.
This means you qualify or open up a conversation regarding your MLM business with 5 new people everyday. It can be anyone. It could be your best friend or some random person you meet in the elevator. This does not mean you present to them. This just means you qualify them and see if they are interested to learn more. If you do NOT know what to say or how to open the conversation, I highly recommend you get my 5 Star Prospecting Workshop (free download) and watch Video 5 on “The Effective Presentation Formula.”
I want to emphasize that whether they are interested or not is NOT important. What is important is that you talk to 5 people and you don’t go to bed at night until you talk to your 5.
5 – The second 5 represents 5 Follow-ups.
These are old prospects that have expressed previous interest (from previous 5), or people you have presented to already. 80% of people purchase or join after the FIFTH follow-up. So remember, the Fortune is in the Follow-up! To learn some effective follow-up questions and how to follow up and close, again, make sure you get the free download of the 5 Star Prospecting Workshop, and watch the “How to Follow Up and Close” training presentation.
3 – This represents the number of people to whom you actually “present.”
This is when you or your upline actually presents your company’s products or business to a prospect. These people either come from the new people who you have met that have expressed interest (the first “5″) or from the follow-ups (the second “5″) you have made.
Guaranteed Results
Once I started to apply my 5/5/3 Daily Prospecting Regimen, I saw results immediately. I kept track of every phone call and prospect I contacted during my first 5 years in MLM. And if you look at the stats, you can easily see the weeks I followed the 5/5/3, and the weeks I did not. The results were obvious.
5/5/3 is so simple, but you MUST do it everyday.
Make it a rule. You do NOT go to sleep until you do your 5/5/3!
Start applying it today, and do it for 21 straight days. I guarantee you will see results and growth in your MLM business. I was just in Vegas recently and a future leader, Philip, applied 5/5/3. Within 48 hours he started to see results already!
Let me know how 5/5/3 grows your business and changes your life.
Sincerely,

Hi, i just saw your emails today and i was wondering if you can help me set up the business here in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
I joined USANA four weeks ago under the group of Billy Dela Fuente. My hubby and i was in the Philippines for a Homeschooling Convention and his friends from San Miguel Corporation recruited us for USANA.
I haven’t really started anything yet since i came back here in Vietnam, i was depending on the people who recruited us to make the steps for our contacts in the Philippines and do the presentations for us because my network is in the Philippines since i’m a Filipino.
But after reading your testimony, i am convinced that its possible for me to build a network here in Vietnam. I just need help. Will you help me?
